Apply for a Direct Loan
-
If you haven't already done so, file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
-
If you are a first-time Direct Loan borrower, you must complete Loan Entrance Counseling (LEC) and Master Promissory Note (MPN). Both items can be completed at www.studentloans.gov using your FSA ID that was created to fill out the FAFSA. Once completed, both the LEC and the MPN will automatically be sent to the Financial Aid office electronically.
-
Note: if you have already completed LEC and/or a MPN, you will not need to complete one again.
-
-
Submit your Direct Loan Request.
-
Once your Loan LEC and MPN are completed, please contact the Financial Aid Office in person or at 913-621-8740 to finalize your loan request and formally accept your Direct Loans.
